Studies and career

After graduating from an economics-oriented high school in Grevenbroich, I first completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Sparkasse Neuss. After that, I worked as a bank clerk at a private bank for a few months before I started my law studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms University Münster at the end of 2009.

Already during my studies I focused on the areas of labor and social law. During this major I also had the pleasure of working at the Institute for Labor, Social and Business Law with Prof. Dr. Peter Schüren.

After an intervening semester abroad at the law faculty of the China University of Polital Science and Law in Beijing, I completed my studies in 2014 with the first state examination.

I completed the subsequent legal clerkship from 2015 to 2017 at the Münster Regional Court – whereby I spent the elective station at the Münster Labor Court in accordance with my focus of interest.

Already during my legal clerkship I worked as a research assistant in a renowned law firm in Münster.

After completing my legal clerkship, I started working as a lawyer in the aforementioned law firm in Münster. Here, too, my focus was on labor and social law, so that I was able to enrich the very good theoretical knowledge I had already acquired during my studies with practical experience.

In 2018, I completed the theoretical part of a specialist labor law course, which I also successfully completed.

In 2019, I switched to the trade union DGB-Rechtsschutz GmbH, where I was able to deepen my practical experience through a variety of labor, social and administrative law cases. The high number of cases and the diversity of case constellations enabled me to gain a great deal of experience, especially in labor and social law cases.

Then, in 2021, I decided to continue my career in my own law firm.
